Dippy is coming to Rochdale

The Natural History Museum’s famous dinosaur, Dippy, has left the museum for the first time to go on a tour of the UK, and Rochdale has been selected as one of just eight venues which will host him during the tour.

Visitors to Rochdale, Dippy’s only North West stop, can enjoy two dinosaur adventures as part of their visit and they’re both FREE.

Meet Dippy

See the famous dinosaur cast, which has wowed 90 million visitors since it was first unveiled at the Natural History Museum in 1905.

Marvel at Dippy’s 292 bones and grab yourself an unforgettable photo.

There will also be activities and interpretation on site for younger visitors to enjoy.

This roarsome exhibition will include a dinosaur gallery and prehistoric swampland depicting the Rochdale of millions of years ago. Visitors can also try their hand at fossil-rubbing before learning how we can safeguard our amazing natural world for future generations in our special biodiversity gallery.
